A LITTLE ABOUT ME
I’M JOANNA
My love affair with photography started at 16, snapping school portraits during work experience. Fast forward through retouching for big names like Net-a-Porter, and here I am—your full-time wedding storyteller since 2016.
I’m an architecture enthusiast, a big fan of Scandinavian design, as well as proud vegan of almost a decade. Alongside my husband and cat, we moved from London to Margate in 2019 and embarked on a massive home renovation, we were even featured on George Clarke’s Old House New Home. We welcomed our daughter, Rose in 2020, three weeks before the world turned upside down with Covid. A year of work wiped out, but was wonderful to have an uninterrupted year learning how to be a mum.
Elle UK, Cosmopolitan and Professional Photo Magazine have kindly thrown some accolades my way, calling me one of the top wedding photographers in the UK. Which is ace. As well as features in Brides, Stylist and Rock’n’Roll Bride magazines.
In the midst of over 200 weddings, I’ve found immense joy in crafting modern, simple, and elegant photos that speak volumes about the personalities and emotions of every love story. Being entrusted to document one of the most significant days in a couple’s life is nothing short of magical.

Joanna was probably the best money we spent gallery made me cry. I’d stumbled upon one of her photos randomly on Google. I fell for her aesthetics and combination of documentary and editorial style with natural colours and playful lights. She has an eye for detail, both when it comes to clothes and decorations, but also when it comes to moments and situations. She was full of ideas and knew just where to be and when. She was an absolute star throughout the whole day working 14 hours and coming straight from the airport. She completely blended in and at the same time she had a tremendous positive presence making everyone feel their best – even us, who are not particular fans of having our pictures taken. We are extremely grateful for the moments she has captured.’

We are a parody of “the East London couple that’s doing a wedding, but doesn’t want the wedding to be a wedding, it’s more of a party, you know?”, so finding the right photographer wasn’t an easy task (we were dreading the posey pictures).
